COAR’s 44th Anniversary, Aug 15th
Every anniversary year is another chance to show the kids how much love and support they have, from all of us, and from so many people who have gone before us. Joyful sacrifice, that is what they learn, and they live it – thanks to you.
The celebration begins with mass, of course. Director, Marta, receives communion last.
Monica, new to COAR in 2022 and Gloria, with COAR from the beginning. Gloria is probably the most constant and faithful presence to the children’s lives of all the many people who have served the children. She embodies the graces of fidelity, service, dignity, and joy. She is a role model for us all.
Then the kids made their presentation of the many people and events that have built COAR these past 44 years.
The poster says: COAR is a community, a family; and as such, the spirit of “home and family” is always present in our physical and spiritual lives
Glenda and Dayana celebrate with pride and peacefulness (and new shirts). Merlin and her brother Anderson returned with other alumni to celebrate. (Anderson graduated and has a great job as a chef. Merlin lives with him while she continues school. One of many family success stories!)
