Joan Myers
Board Member
Joan Myers joined the Board of Directors in March 2021 after being a donor of the COAR Peace Mission from inception. She was involved in the education of Ohio students from elementary to college – before retiring in 2010. She is a cousin of Father Ken Myers, the original founder of COAR. She sees being on the COAR board as an extension of helping the peoples of the world meet their basic needs.
Since retirement, Joan continues to be involved in the local community with various volunteer activities. Upon moving back to Norwalk (Huron County) she is glad to be closer to her roots and family members who still live in northern Ohio. She loves being outside so of course she is also glad to be back on Lake Erie. Being outside is one of her greatest pleasures- and if you are a dog walker you just might see her on one of Ohio’s beaten tracks.
