I believe in the saying, “Once an educator, always an educator!” I’ve recently retired after 38 years in education as a teacher and elementary principal. In reviewing my assets, I’ve decided that I’d like to continue helping children grow and reach their potential. A while ago, I supported a child at COAR and was even able to give mission talks across the United States. I continue to read their newsletters and appreciate what COAR means to the children of El Salvador. I want them to be my beneficiaries when I die. This was a thought-filled and prayerful decision, but one that will continue touching the lives of children at COAR long after I am gone. Once an educator, always an educator—in life and in death!
