Our Programs Director, Susan Barnish, and Executive Director, Mary Stevenson, finally got down to COAR from November 14-18th (first time for Susan in 12 months and 19 months for Mary – a record!) to catch up on some business:
#1 – Met with Padre Edwin Alexander Henríquez Márquez (right) the new Director of the Archdiocese of San Salvador Vicariate of Human Promotion (COAR’s oversight). #2 – Many meetings with COAR’s Director, Marta Calderón. As always, we start with the health and safety of the children. We learned more about three new girls who entered in July, August, and September, the first we’ve been able to welcome since the pandemic began.
#3 – Susan goes over the 2022 budget with Ricardo. Ricardo works for you! Tracking every dollar with competence and unfailing good humor.
#4 – Touring the gardens and various projects and repairs around the 80+acre complex. More pictures to come in future newsletters.
