About Your Donations

COAR Peace Mission strives to ensure the maximum amount of your donation goes directly to the operation of COAR Children's Village. Our small staff performs accounting, U.S. funds transfer, database, shipping, translation, travel arrangements, newsletter publication, sponsorship coordination and translation, and other functions to help donors and sponsors in the U.S. interact most effectively with the Children's Village and allows their staff to concentrate on serving the children and the community.

Our Donors

COAR donors are largely individuals, young and old, well-off and poor. They are located throughout North America.
Memorial gifts and bequests are acknowledged in our newsletter.

Volunteer

COAR Peace Mission can always find a use for volunteers - fundraising, translating, filing, working on the newsletter, educating the community about El Salvador and the mission of the Children's Village.

Board of Trustees

COAR Peace Mission's Board of Trustees consists of 12 individuals from diverse walks of life including an Ursuline religious sister who served in Zaragoza for 6 years, a parish priest, several business men and women, and teachers. All share a passionate committment to peace, justice, and the welfare of children in developing countries.

COAR Peace Mission is a 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization in the United States established in 1985 to support COAR Children's Village in Zaragoza, El Salvador, Central America.


Mission Statement:

COAR Peace Mission strives to promote justice, community, and peace in El Salvador through the support of effective programs in health, education and welfare, which assist children and others, not only to develop their own full human potential, but also to contribute to the betterment of the world in which they live.


Directions to the COAR office
Located in the Westpark area of Cleveland, OH,
near Hopkins International airport:

From I-480 (east or west-bound):
1. Exit at Grayton Road
2. Make a left at the light, (north) onto Grayton Rd
3. Go appox. 1 mile, turn right (east) at light onto Puritas Ave.
4. Go appox. 1 mile, turn left (north) onto Rocky River Drive
5. Turn right immediately into St. Patrick's Church parking lot.

From I-71 (north or south-bound):
1. Exit at W. 150th Street
2. Head south on W. 150th
3. Go appox. 0.25 miles (under the I-71 overpass) and turn right (west) onto Puritas Ave.
4. Go appox. 2 miles and turn right (north) onto Rocky River Drive.
5. Turn right immediately into St. Patrick's Church parking lot.

St. Pat's:
Our offices are at the parish of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, located on the north-east corner of Rocky River Drive and Puritas Ave., in the "St. Patrick Community Center" Building (next to Thorpe Hall), the northern-most building on St. Pat's property, farthest away from the main Church building.
