2016 Romero Days, March 31-April 1, featured presentations of the legacy of Sr. Dorothy Kazel, OSU, one of the four North American Churchwomen ~ COAR is one of her lasting legacies
The Romero Lecture Series is an annual event that gathers scholars, social justice workers, creative artists, and others who honor and promote the legacy of Blessed Romero in the Church and world today. It is organized by Latin American/North American Church Concerns (LANACC) and is made possible through generous support provided by many sponsors.

1) Sr. Rose Elizabeth Terrell, OSU, stands in front of the list of Ursuline Sisters
of Cleveland who have served in El Salvador on The Cleveland Latin American
Mission (CLAM) Team since 1968. Her own name is the last one listed, 2003-
2014.
2) Sr. Sheila Marie Tobbe, OSU, who served on the CLAM Team 1990-6, presents the many organizations, schools, parishes, and social justice projects that continue the work inspired by Sr. Dorothy’s sacrifice. Prominent among these is COAR, the oldest extant organization to bear Bl. Romero’s name with the approval of the Archdiocese of San Salvador. Sr. Sheila Marie has served on COAR’s Board of Directors since 1996.
3) Sr. Rose Elizabeth presents Sr. Dorothy’s childhood and early formation.
4) Sr. Sheila Marie talks with Rev. Robert S. Pelton, CSC, founder of Romero Days.

Sr. Rose Elizabeth Terrell, OSU, honored at COAR’s Annual Benefit
Latin American/North American Church Affairs (LANACC) was founded in 1985 by the Rev. Robert S. Pelton, CSC, to foster pastoral bonds between the churches of South, Central, and North America. LANACC carries out a mission of information, interpreting the Catholicism of Latin Americans to their fellow communicants in North America; promoting fraternity and unity between faith communities throughout our hemisphere, and encouraging greater involvement of United States churches in the ongoing quest for the peace, socioeconomic justice, and universal human dignity mandated by Jesus Christ.
