August 15th - Foundation Day - A Day of Joy between two sorrows - and Joy for 40 years
August 15th is the Catholic feast day of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into heaven. It was also the birthday of St. Romero in 1915. As refugee children came to the CLAM Team Parish in Zaragoza the summer of 1980, they did not know it would be a permanent solution. Within a year COAR was established, named, and they had chosen August 15th as the foundation day. Enjoy these early pictures that show how far we have come – thanks to thousands of supporters – thanks to you!
Left is a picture from COAR’s first newsletter in 1981. Right, is now – thanks!!
